Rosacea is a complex skin disorder requires highly specialized knowledge of the skin to treat properly. In addition, diseases can imitate rosacea and be hard to differentiate from it. My advice would be to seek out a dermatologist with ample experience at treating rosacea, including experience in the proper use of lasers. Since lasers that treat rosacea target hemoglobin in blood vessels, using LASERS that specifically target blood vessels (the pulsed-dye laser or PDL, and KTP laser) is critical. I do NOT recommend treating rosacea with intense pulsed light or IPL, as IPLs emit wavelengths of light that are poorly absorbed by hemoglobin and heat the skin contributing to side effects without contributing to clearance of unwanted blood vessels.
